Ithryn 2005

  • Server: VA/Linux 1U Server (Rebranded NetEngines Machine)
  • Proccessors: 2x Intel Pentium 3 850Mhz
  • RAM: 384 MB (We had more RAM but some was removed when we were experiencing kernel panics.)
  • HDD: RAID 1 Mirror w/ 2x Samsung 80 GB
  • RAID: Linux Software RAID 1 w/ LVM2 Partitions


Ithryn 2002

  • Processor: AMD Duron 750 MHz
  • Mobo: MSI K7T Turbo Limited Edition
  • RAM: 512 MB
  • HDD: IBM 40 GB (*4, but only one is currently being used).
  • RAID: 3ware ATA-RAID (4-port 6400)
  • LAN: Linksys Network Everywhere 100 Mbps model NC100
  • Video: Trident TGUI 9660

This machine started experiencing lots of crashes that we suspected were being caused by a bad motherboard or RAID card.

Future Hardware/Upgrades

Historically, Ithryn has never been what many would consider to be a stable system. Brian believes that the entire Ithryn Project is cursed. Future upgrades my include:
